This is the introduction to the book. We thought it would fit equally well here.

In writing this book, I was forced to move through places foreign to me, ones that were abhorrent to me. Those that know me, know I’ve always enjoyed the horror genre, films and even dark classical literature of that sort, all the campy, Halloween elements. But these are not the dark places I speak of now. Those mentioned above are Disney like in their comparison. So base and pure is the other poisoned Earth.

I am a believer, one who holds even the most tattered and mistreated Bible in reverence. While I don’t attend Church, or speak publicly on the subject, I am still aware of the innate importance of the good that similar items hold.

The bitter place I speak of is a gnawing wealth of understanding, I’d just as soon be ignorant of. These are facts that enlarged for me, in my adulthood, from the Biblical stories taught to us in our youth. The stories of the fall of the angels and the details surrounding that event. The offspring, the genetic curse brought on mankind by them, and in one of their last effort of revenge against their maker, this was one of their last steps of rebellion.

There is the teaching of forbidden knowledge to men and women, even magic, the genetic history of Adams wives, the Jewish record of his first, Lilith, mother of the monsters, who left Adam, lived in a cave and bred with demons. The dark ground I spoke of are these very facts, that the Bible shows us, could be a clear tie to many of the terrors of our superstitions. Even an explanation of their creation, it should not be surprising that literally millions, over the period of man’s history have recorded the comings and goings of these creatures. There is so much more detailed in the books, that were somehow not included in the Bible. The book of Enoch and others .

There is the Alien recently photographed by the bridge, with what we guess is possibly carrion of some sort. Is he stranded or is he something who has been here much longer? Are some of these beings we take for extraterrestrials merely beings with an older claim to this planet than us?With a frighteningly direct lineage to the divine?

How can we fault priests trying to sell a growing religion, the one that would have the most influence on mankind? How can we fault them with editing the story? By making it more acceptable and less threatening? For them to believe that all was not right in Heaven, that even there, there were forces to be reckoned with, might be unsettling enough to put these young converts off. In my understanding of God, he created us in his image. He repented, himself, of his actions against mankind. So maybe there is a deeper truth in that statement of our creation than we have ever understood, and from this possibly a better understanding of him.

Like eating from the tree of life, we search out hungrily the knowledge that can make us. First we fight to know all and be the equal of or surpass our parents, yet as knowledge comes, not all of it is liberating or sweet to the tongue. No, much of it can, in fact, be a heavy yoke.

Such are the facts and beliefs we’ll speak of. Much of the constraints we place on belief are ones that are self imposed, facts or proofs we need to make that commitment of thinking. At no time is this more true than when we are dealing with the subject of the supernatural, what less, dramatically, is just the unfamiliar. What kind of facts or proof do we need to believe the unbelievable?

That was the problem faced when we did not, in this research, see our shadow, an act or trick of light through the tree limbs moving in a breeze, and jump to conclusions. We fought in long hours, before the computer screen, pouring over enlarged images, to see out details that would disprove our growing fears. What good can the sane mind do with efforts to con itself, to project ideas that some, less reasonable part of the mind, wishes to find, to embrace a fantasy while making false claims of the unbiased nature of our work.

No, it should have been a comfort to find some other reason or explanation for our findings, some other definition for them. There is the rude but accurate saying that “all people have two things, an asshole and an opinion”. When it comes down to it all, what reasoning and theories amount to are filler for coffee house time.

In this study subject as well as others, the gathering of material evidence is the only factor that raises us above the frightened peasant mentality. Inaction keeps us locked in a room with superstitions, with no growth of knowledge and inaction means we cannot move from this frustrating position.

I guess the question is do you really want to know, know if alien aircraft are real, if there are non-human entities in our less traveled places? Do you want to know, if your country is using unconstitutional methods or treatment of its own people to secure new understandings, or just achieve a tighter grasp on those same unaware citizens?

Do you want to know what really lies around you? Is there something concealed, something just out of the corner of your eye? And do you want to understand if amongst the very way religious teachings, we had in our youth and throughout our lives, if there was a road map, leading possibly to many of the material fears we have often confused with myth and legend.

This Book, I’m afraid, cannot answer, with all it’s photos and testimony, any of these questions with surety . What it can do, hopefully, is help to make you aware of very real possibilities, to plant a seed, not of superstition and fear, but of educated concern. Many of the things put forth in these pages can be proven by you to yourself. This is a position, unfortunately we all must be in.

Lori and I have crossed that ground, and it seemed there was a no steady footing, a place where self doubt ruled, and many of our previous understandings were drawn into conflict. With the things we heard, odors smelled and and images seen, things no longer deniable, my understanding of the possibilities of my camera’s functions, again confirming the suspicion of our senses.

There are images of things, both flying and ground based, of things both mechanical and moving, living. Their form or distinction of life, is not as important as the fact that these extraordinary figures do exist.

We have gone out, now, on over one hundred nights of photography and exploration, and it is a ritual that will continue, if for no other reason than, like you, we would some day have all the evidence we need to prove the existence of these things and answer all the riddles to our personal experiences.

Whether the figures are spiritual, dimensional or are very real flesh and blood entities, remains to be seen. What is important is that a mechanical device, with no prejudices or biases has picked up these images.

There has been no effort on our part to mislead you, or to influence you to believe as we do. It is important for anyone joining in this work, to realize the fragile nature of it. You will need to realize just how much damage can be done by fraudulent claims and misrepresentation of information.

A higher standard of honesty must be the base and a truer desire to find answers is necessary, if we ever hope to bring these subjects out of the legends of the middle ages, and into the legitimate scientific realm.
